Women's Ministry
The purpose of Women's Ministry is to encourage the women of our church and to equip them both biblically and in the use of their gifts.
"And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near."

Bible Study
| JANUARY 10 & 11 2012 |
January 10 & 11 the Spring Women's bible study will begin. We will study “Coming Home to Jesus: A Study of Luke for Wise Women” by Kay Daigle. The cost will be $15 and includes your workbook. Signups will be available every Sunday between now and January 8 at the Kiosk in the Lobby. Our Bible Study Coordinator is BJ White. Tuesday morning bible study will be led by Sharon Crowder & Jamie Grant. Wednesday evening bible study will be led by Mary Yarbrough. Please plan to join us!
Dining Divas

Dining Divas has been described as "accelerated friendship making." It's an opportunity to dine with a small group of up to seven other women in a hostess' home, on either Tuesday or Thursday of the third week of every other month at 7:00 pm. There are opportunities to sign up for either of those days, for a simple evening meal prepared by the hostess. The groupings continually change over the months so that you have the opportunity to broaden the number of ladies you are acquainted with at DBC, and all this is within the comfortable setting of someone's home. At Dining Divas there's no agenda, no project, no requests to sign up on a committee- just friendly fellowship with real women like yourself. So please come and be blessed, and be a blessing to others as we get to know one another on a more intimate level.

Women's Retreat

Join us at beautiful Allaso Ranch April 13-15 for "Women That Rock " Annual DBC Women's Retreat, located near Tyler. Experience a peace-filled weekend with endless moments to grow in your walk with the Lord and in your relationships with your sisters in Christ. Eva Bleeker is our speaker this year. She has an MA in Christian Education and an MA in Media/Communications from Dallas Theological Seminary. She is currently a chaplain at Baylor Hospital and the Women’s Ministry Pastor for Skillman Bible Church. Eva will be teaching on the five women listed in Christ’s genealogy in the book of Matthew – Tamar, Ruth, Bathsheba, Rahab, and Mary. We will learn how God used their extreme faith to implement His plan of giving Israel her Messiah. Plan to enjoy great activities and amenities including praise and worship, quiet time, delicious food , group time, learning god's word ,horseback riding,canoeing ,amazing rocking chairs and zip line. Tea and Testimony

This is the evening we will meet in a home to hear one or two of our women share their testimonies and also to get to know one another. Whether you are a longtime DBC member, or new to the church, Tea and Testimony is always an evening of fun, tears, laughter, not to mention scrumptious snacks and sweets! It is also a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to experience what makes the women of DBC special. Don’t miss this opportunity to spend time with the ladies of DBC. Moms Ministry

Heart 2 Heart

Heart 2 Heart groups are formed for the summer months. These high commitment groups are made up of small groups of women and are either held in homes or at the church, in the mornings or evenings. A book is read and discussed or a short Bible study is done. Confidentiality is a priority! Come share your burdens, voice your praises, and be an encouragement to others. Meals Ministry

Are you looking for a simple way to get involved in a ministry to people in our own church? The Women's Meal Ministry Team provides temporary help with meals for families or individuals in need, often due to illness, surgery, childbirth, loss of a loved one, or other situations when meals would be helpful. We are thankful that this ministry has grown! This means we need more volunteers. Keep in mind that these meals don't need to be home-made and those meals that are home-made can be really simple. You will receive an email that will connect you with the Care Calendar, allowing you to see complete information on the family/person, choose a date, fill in what you will bring, and receive an email reminder. Woman-to-Woman Mentoring

Tablescapes Luncheon - Ministry Kick Off

Confidential Prayer Box
If you have a prayer request you would like the Women’s Ministry Prayer team to pray about, there is a prayer box located on the Women’s Kiosk in the lobby. You can’t miss it. There is a sign on it and three crosses. The slot for your requests is in the back, and there is a lock on the front. Please know that your prayer request will be kept in the strictest confidence, and will be prayed over by a small team of prayer warriors from the Women’s Ministry Board. Phil 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
