The Humility of God

Sermon Notes

1.    The humility of God is seen as He sacrifices His own creation’s life for the atonement of sin (Genesis 3.21).

2.    The humility (and patience) of God is seen as He persists in shepherding His people back to Himself after disobedience - time and time again.

3.    The humility of God is seen in the requirement of humility for His people (Micah 6.8).

4.    The humility of God is seen in the teaching of our Savior (Matt 5.3).

5.    The humility of God is seen in the humility of the way His Son lived and died (Mark 10.45; John 5.30; Phil 2.8).

6.    The humility of God is learned through our suffering (Phil 3.10; 2 Cor 4.16-18).

7.    The humility of God is seen in the lives of His people today as they/we reflect the humility of our triune God (1 Peter 5.5).
