Children's Ministry
Overview
According to a study done by Child Evangelism, 85% of all people who come to Christ, do so between the ages of 4 and 14. As it is critically important that children be introduced to Christ early and instructed in His Word when they are small, DBC Children’s Ministry seeks to partner with parents in the spiritual training of their children to transform lives for Christ. Each week, DBC CM offers many different learning and growing opportunities for children in our PreSchool Ministry, Kid's Bible Fellowships (Sunday School), Kid Connection, and AWANA classes, and we look forward
each year to our special outreach events to meet new friends at Vacation Bible School (VBS), our Trunk-or-Treat
Fall Festival and the Family Movie Night.

DBC recognizes Kindergarten and 6th Grade as key transition years. If you have a child in either of these grades, please visit our Transition Classes page for more information about your child's schedule.
PRE-SCHOOL MINISTRY
No one is too young to know they are loved. Those who are shown unconditional love early in life, are best equipped to see it in God later in life, and to show it to others as they grow. [ MORE ] |
KID'S BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
Kid Bible Fellowships (KBFs) are our version of Sunday School. While parents participate in adult Bible study (ABFs), children (ages Kindergarten through 6th grade) are taught Biblical principles through Bible stories, games, crafts, small-group discussions and more . [ MORE ] |
KID CONNECTION
During the Worship Service, children aged Kindergarten through 6th grade attend Kid Connection. Kid Connection is a dynamic Bible learning environment for kids. The program integrates live Bible Drama, small group activities and crafts in a warm, relational setting. [ MORE ] |
KINDERGARTEN
For Kindergartners, the transition from preschool into the school age environment is a big one. To make this transition as smooth as possible, DBC has developed a unique ministry to meet the needs of Kindergartners and their parents. [ MORE ] |
6TH GRADE
For 6th Graders, the move from the children's program to the youth program is a significant one. To make this transition as smooth as possible, DBC has developed a unique ministry to meet the needs of 6th Graders and their parents.[ MORE ] |
AWANA
AWANA is a world-class children's program that is thrilling for kids! Biblical truth is clearly taught, and children are encouraged to memorize Scripture, reach out to their friends and do good to the people around them. [ MORE ] |
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
VBS is our largest child outreach event of the year. It is a fun, engaging week of activity, especially geared toward children who have never heard the good news of Jesus. [ MORE ] |
TRUNK-OR-TREAT
On October 31st each year, DBC hosts Trunk-or-Treat—our children's Fall Festival event. This is a fun night for everyone! Children and adults are encouraged to come in costume and take part in this joyful, uplifting celebration. [ MORE ] |
